Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of Radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using imaging guidance. Some of these procedures are for diagnostic purposes while others are for definitive treatment. Imaging is used to direct these procedures. The images provide road maps that allow the Interventional Radiologist to guide instruments through the body to the areas of interest. Catherine Moses, M.D., a partner in our group, has been providing Interventional Radiology services at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, since 2002. Ilya Lekht, M.D., also a partner, is currently on the faculty at UCLA, and brings the latest techniques for the following procedures. We also welcome our 2 new associates, Monica Amantia, M.D., IR fellowship at USC and Jason Lee, M.D., IR fellowship at UCLA, MRI fellowship at UCSD.
