Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of Radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using imaging guidance. Some of these procedures are for purely diagnostic purposes (e.g., angiogram), while others are treatment.
Imaging is used to direct these procedures, which are performed with needles or catheters. The images provide road maps that allow the Interventional Radiologist to guide these instruments through the body to the areas of interest.
Dr. Catherine Moses, a partner in our group, has been providing Interventional Radiology services/procedures at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, since 2002.
